Honest disclosure Web browsers cannot read true WiFi signal strength (RSSI in dBm) for security reasons. This tool instead measures the real-world effects of your connection — actual download/upload speed, latency, and jitter — which are what determine whether your WiFi feels "good" or "bad" regardless of the raw signal number. For true RSSI scanning, use your OS's WiFi diagnostics (Windows netsh, macOS Wireless Diagnostics, Linux iwconfig). The heatmap part is manual — click anywhere on the floor to place a marker for the signal quality at that location.

How this works: Sends 10 small HTTP requests to a public endpoint and measures round-trip time. Average + jitter + min/max are computed from the samples. Jitter above 30 ms usually indicates WiFi congestion or interference; above 100 ms indicates real connectivity issues. Download/upload use a small static file from jsdelivr.net — not a full speedtest, but enough to detect "is the connection actually slow".
