Life Counter for MTG
A tap-first tabletop scoreboard: full-panel +/− hit zones you can find without looking, poison and commander-damage steppers, and a ten-deep undo strip. Everything runs in your browser — no account, no network, no persistence.
Game setup
Tap a +/− zone for one step; press and hold the same zone for 10. Names are typed straight on each panel (12 characters). Nothing leaves this device.

How it works
Sit down, set the table, and get back to your turn.
Pick 2–4 players, 20/30/40 starting life and your tap step below the board.
Left half of a panel is −, right half is +. Hold a zone to apply 10 at once.
Every change lands in the undo strip as “P2 +1 life” — tap it to roll that change back.
Built for a real table
Everything a paper game needs, nothing it does not.
Each panel splits into two thumb-sized targets, so a flat phone at arm's length is still easy to hit.
Optional 0–10 poison steppers and a compact per-opponent 0–21 commander-damage grid.
0 or less life, 10 poison or 21 commander damage from one opponent marks a player eliminated and announces the winner.
Fat-finger a life total? Tap the matching undo chip and the board rewinds exactly that change.
Repeat taps on the same zone within 150 ms are ignored, so a bouncing finger cannot drain a life total.
No accounts, no cookies, no network calls. State lives in memory and a reload starts a fresh game.
FAQ
Can life go below zero?
Yes. Negative life is legal, so the number is never clamped — but a total of 0 or less shows the Eliminated chip.
Does changing players wipe the game?
It would, so we ask first. Cancel the dialog and every total, name and counter stays exactly as it was.
How does long-press behave?
Holding a +/− zone for half a second applies 10, whatever your tap step is set to. Poison and commander steppers always move by 1.
Is my game saved if I reload?
No. State is intentionally memory-only — reloading starts a fresh game with the same setup you last chose in this session.
Who is this affiliated with?
Nobody. It is a generic tabletop life-and-counter tracker for any card game; it is not affiliated with or endorsed by Wizards of the Coast.
Why is the board so plain?
Sharp near-black type on white reads across a table in bad light. Status pills are the only rounded elements, as filler-free pips mark active counters per panel.
