Is this really free and watermark-free?
Yes. There is no account, no credit, no email and no watermark burned into the export — the PNG or JPEG you download is exactly what you see in the preview.
Does my photo get uploaded?
No. The file is read locally, put into an object URL and drawn onto a canvas in your browser. The tool makes no network request with your image.
Why did my caption get smaller?
Captions are wrapped to three lines. If a long caption still would not fit, the font is auto-shrunk (and clipped with an ellipsis as a last resort) so it never runs off the image. Shorten the text or press auto-fit.
Which format should I pick?
PNG keeps flat colors and any transparency perfectly and is the safest choice for memes. JPEG with the quality slider above 80% is smaller — handy for texting or posting where file size matters.
The download did nothing on my iPhone — now what?
Older iOS Safari versions block blob downloads. The tool opens the finished image in a new tab instead: long-press it and choose “Save Image” to put it in your photos.
Can I use my own meme template image?
Yes — upload any picture you have the rights to use and add the captions yourself. The tool intentionally ships no library of copyrighted meme templates.
