Instagram Post Mockup Generator
Type a username and caption, drop in an image, and watch a complete Instagram Feed post render instantly — header, likes, comments, timestamp and all. Download it as a crisp PNG, on white, light gray, dark or a genuinely transparent background.
Build your post
Every field renders live — there is no “generate” button and nothing is uploaded.
How it works
Upload a post image and, optionally, a profile avatar. Both are read with the browser's FileReader — they never touch a server.
Username, caption, likes, comments and the timestamp. Numbers are formatted with thousands separators as you type.
Pick a ratio and a background, then export a ~1080 px PNG — transparent mode keeps a real alpha channel.
What you get
Circular avatar, bold username, ··· menu, full-bleed image, ♡ 💬 ↗ action row with bookmark, likes count, bold-username caption, “View all N comments” and the timestamp.
Transparent mode exports a real alpha channel — no checkerboard pixels are baked into the file, so it drops straight onto any deck.
No account, no upload, no watermark, no paywall. Everything is computed in your browser, so your files stay on your device.
FAQ
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. The live preview and the PNG export both run entirely in your browser, so your images never leave your device.
How does the transparent background work?
The post card itself keeps Instagram's white UI; only the surrounding background becomes transparent, and the exported PNG keeps its alpha channel. The checkerboard you see in the preview is just a visual hint and is never exported.
Why is my caption shortened?
Instagram collapses long captions. Past 300 characters the preview appends “… more”, exactly like the feed does, so the mockup still looks believable in a proposal.
Which ratios can I export?
Square 1:1, portrait 4:5 and landscape 1.91:1 — the three ratios Instagram Feed posts actually use. Images are centre-cropped to fill the frame.
Is this affiliated with Instagram or Meta?
No. It is an independent design aid for previewing creative; it does not post anything and is not endorsed by Meta.
