How it works
Three steps, no calendar syncing.
We bundle the national public holidays for 18 countries across 2025 – 2027, including weekend substitute days.
Enter the annual leave days you are willing to spend. Weekends and holidays are free and never count against it.
Each window shows its dates, its leave cost, the holidays inside it and a boarding-pass strip of day pills.
Why these windows
A window is scored by days off divided by leave days spent, so a 4-day weekend for one leave day beats a 10-day trip for four.
The top three windows are guaranteed not to share a single day, so the plan is actually bookable.
When a public holiday lands on a weekend, the observed weekday off is added for the UK, Ireland, Canada, Spain and the US.
Easter-based holidays are computed per year, so Ascension, Whit Monday and Corpus Christi land on the real dates.
December runs that spill into January are kept whole, which is where the longest stretches usually hide.
Everything is calculated in your browser. Nothing is sent anywhere and nothing is stored.

Which holidays are included?
Nationally observed public holidays for 18 European and North American countries. Regional, cantonal, state and company days are not included, so your exact dates can differ.
How is a window's value calculated?
Days off ÷ leave days spent, shown to one decimal. A 9-day break that costs 4 leave days scores 2.3 days off per leave day.
Why do the longest windows start or end in another year?
Christmas and New Year form one continuous free stretch. The optimiser keeps December and January connected instead of cutting the run at 31 December.
What if I cannot take time off in some months?
Every window is dated, so you can scan the list and simply ignore the ones that clash with a freeze period or a busy quarter.
