Pick an MP4, WebM or MOV clip, or a PNG/JPG/WebP photo. The file is decoded with the browser's own video element — it is never uploaded, so there is nothing to sign up for.
Hit "Sample from preview" and tap the green backdrop to grab its exact colour, then raise Tolerance until the screen vanishes and the edge stays soft.
Photos save as a 32-bit transparent PNG. Videos save as numbered transparent PNG frames in a ZIP, which every editor imports as an image sequence.

Pixels are matched in the Cb/Cr chroma plane with a soft alpha ramp, so uneven lighting and gentle wrinkles key out without a crunchy edge. Green fringes get tapered despill automatically.
Tolerance drives the threshold, the feather and the despill together. Long clips show a live memory budget and stop cleanly instead of crashing your tab mid-export.
FAQ
Is my video or photo uploaded anywhere?
No. The file is read straight from your disk into the page and decoded by the browser's own video and image decoders. There is no upload endpoint, no storage and no account — the tool keeps working if you go offline after the page loads.
Why do videos download as PNG frames instead of a WebM?
A transparent video file has to be muxed by hand: the container needs a side-channel alpha track, and no browser ships that encoder to page scripts. Tools that claim otherwise either bundle a muxer or quietly hand you an opaque file. Here you get numbered 32-bit PNGs (frame_0001.png …) — lossless alpha that Premiere, After Effects, Resolve and Final Cut all import as an image sequence.
How do I get a cleaner edge?
Sample the key colour from a mid-lit area of the screen rather than a bright or shadowed patch, then nudge Tolerance up slowly. Raising it too far starts eating light greys and skin, so stop as soon as the backdrop is clean.
Part of my subject disappeared — why?
Something in the subject sits close to the key colour: green clothing, foliage, a green reflection, or a green product label. Move the subject further from the screen, key blue instead of green, or lower Tolerance until it comes back.
How long a clip can I export?
The export budget line shows the frame count and the memory the ZIP will need before you start. Anything above roughly 500 MB is refused with a plain-language message — that is a browser memory limit, not a paywall. Lower the FPS or frame size, or trim the clip and re-drop it.
Does it work on a phone, and is there a watermark?
Yes and no: every control is at least 44px tall, the eyedropper accepts a tap, and the still-frame PNG export works on iOS Safari where a long frame sequence would be too much for the tab. No watermark, no resolution limit, no sign-up — on any device.
