How it works
Type or paste an SKU, order number, asset ID or any ASCII string up to 80 characters.
Even digit runs switch to subset C, control characters to A, everything else stays in B. Start, checksum (mod 103) and stop symbols are appended.
Download a vector SVG for label software or a 2× PNG for a quick print. Both include the 10-module quiet zones scanners need.
What you get
The full 107-symbol Code 128 table (EN 797 / ISO-IEC 15417) with a mod-103 check character, so real scanners accept the result.
Module width 1–6 px and bar height 20–200 px let you match a thermal label, a shelf tag or a spreadsheet printout.
Everything runs in your browser — no upload, no account, no server round-trip. Works offline once the page is loaded.
FAQ
Which subset should I pick?
Leave it on Auto. Subset C packs digits two-per-symbol (shortest barcode), B covers normal printable ASCII, A adds the control characters below space.
Why does my barcode not scan?
Print at 100% scale, keep the white quiet zones intact, and stay at or above 1 px per module at the printed size. Longer values make each module thinner.
SVG or PNG?
Use SVG for label software and professional printing — it scales without blur. Use PNG when you need a plain bitmap for a quick label or a slide.
Are non-ASCII characters supported?
No. Code 128 encodes single-byte values 0–127 only, so umlauts and other accented characters are rejected rather than silently mangled.
