Random Number Generator Wheel
Spin a precision dial to draw one fair number from your range — or one name from your own list — and settle it live in front of a class, a stream or a meeting.

How it works
Three steps from “someone has to decide” to a visible, fair answer.
Type a Min and Max for whole numbers, or switch to Custom list and paste one entry per line.
The dial turns and stops with one slot under the fixed pointer at 12 o'clock. The result appears as a large numeral.
Announce it, or share your screen — the pick is drawn from the cryptographic RNG in your own browser.
Built to be trusted in front of an audience
Values come from crypto.getRandomValues with rejection sampling, so every value is equally likely — including at the ends of the range.
Draw without replacement so nobody is picked twice; the pool refills automatically once it is exhausted.
Nothing is uploaded and no account is needed. Close the tab and the list is gone — copy the history first if you need a record.
If your system asks for less animation, the wheel jumps straight to the answer instead of spinning.
The result sits in an aria-live region and uses tabular numerals, so screen readers and projectors both show a steady, legible answer.
The last 20 spins keep their value, mode and timestamp, with copy-all and clear buttons.
FAQ
Is the wheel actually random?
Yes. The winning value is drawn first with the browser's cryptographic random number generator, then the dial is animated to that slot — the animation never decides the outcome.
What are the limits?
Ranges hold up to 10,000 whole numbers and custom lists hold 2–60 non-empty lines. Duplicate lines are allowed, and the pool note flags them.
Can I reuse it for names instead of numbers?
Switch to Custom list and put one name per line — great for cold-calling, raffles, standup order or stream giveaways.
What does “no repeats” do?
Each value leaves the pool once drawn, so a cycle covers everyone exactly once. When the pool empties it refills and starts a new cycle.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes — the layout stacks to one column at 375px with full-width tap targets, so you can pass the phone around or mirror it to a screen.
Is anything stored on a server?
No. The tool loads as a single page and every calculation happens locally; the history lives only in this tab.
