FAQ
Is my bill data uploaded anywhere?
No. The preview, the totals and the PDF file are created by JavaScript on your own device. Nothing is posted to a server and no account is required.
How many line items can I add?
As many as you need — press “+ Add line item” for each extra row. Empty rows are ignored, and rows that run past the bottom of the page continue on a second PDF page.
Which currencies and paper size are used?
USD, EUR, GBP, CAD, AUD and INR, formatted with your chosen currency’s symbol. The PDF is US Letter (8.5 × 11 in), which also prints fine on A4 with “fit to page”.
How is the total calculated?
Each line is qty × rate. The discount (flat or percent) comes off the subtotal, tax is applied to the discounted subtotal, and the grand total is taxable subtotal + tax — each step rounded to the cent.
Can I edit the PDF after downloading it?
Change any field here and download again to get a fresh PDF. Some PDF readers also let you annotate the file, but the numbers are always easiest to fix at the source.
Is a bill the same as an invoice?
For most freelancers and one-person shops the words are interchangeable: a bill states what was delivered, what it cost and when payment is due. Check your local rules if you need specific tax wording.
