Honest disclosure about what this tool does
This tool does not automatically call ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, or Gemini. That would require paid API keys for each platform, and most providers do not even expose "search my brand" as a programmable endpoint. What this tool does: (1) generate the exact prompts a human should paste into each AI, (2) provide a side-by-side comparison worksheet, (3) summarize the results so you can see where you stand vs competitors. You run the actual AI queries yourself (free on ChatGPT/Claude/Gemini, free on Perplexity). This is the honest, privacy-respecting, free way to do an AI visibility audit in 2026.
1. Your brand & competitors
2. Prompts to run
Enter your brand & competitors on the left, then click Generate prompts to see ready-to-paste prompts for ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, and Gemini.
3. Track which AI mentioned your brand
After pasting each prompt into each AI, fill in whether your brand or competitors appeared in the response. The sheet will calculate visibility scores automatically.

Add your brand & competitors on the left, then click Generate prompts.
Scoring rule. Yes = 1 point. Partial = 0.5. No = 0. Each AI contributes equally. Score is total points divided by max possible. 100% = mentioned in every AI across every prompt. 0% = invisible to AI.
4. How to actually run the audit
Pick your 5-7 most important prompts from the generated list above. "Best X for Y" and "Top X brands" prompts are most useful.
Open each AI in a separate browser tab: ChatGPT (chat.openai.com), Perplexity (perplexity.ai), Claude (claude.ai), Gemini (gemini.google.com). All have free tiers.
Copy each prompt using the Copy button next to it. Paste into a fresh chat in each AI. Don't use follow-up questions — the first answer is the one to record.
For each response, check: is my brand mentioned? In the top 3? In a "best of" list? Record in the tracking table above.
After 30 days, repeat. AI citation patterns shift as models update and your content changes. The audit should be a monthly practice, not a one-off.
Why responses vary: AI assistants give different answers at different times (even to the same prompt) due to temperature, model version updates, and retrieval freshness. For a reliable audit, run each prompt twice on different days and record the better of the two results. One run is anecdotal; two runs is a signal.
How AI assistants pick which brands to cite: (1) Volume of high-quality mentions across the web — more third-party articles, reviews, listicles = more likely to be cited. (2) Structured data — schema.org markup, clear product pages. (3) Authoritative sources linking to you — Wikipedia, news sites, industry publications. (4) Direct entity associations in AI training data. Improving AI visibility is a long-term content + PR + SEO investment, not a one-off trick.
