Calorie counter FAQ
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up, email check, paywall or subscription. Open the page, add food and close it when you are done.
Where are my entries saved?
Only in this browser’s session storage. Refreshing usually keeps them; closing the browsing session clears them. Nothing is sent to a server.
How accurate are the calories?
They are typical UK estimates and will vary by brand, recipe, cooking method and portion. Use them as a rough day-planning guide.
What if a food is missing?
Type its name in the search field, then use the quick-entry box underneath to add an estimated number of calories for the meal you selected.
Is 2,000 kcal right for me?
2,000 kcal is a common general reference, not a personal prescription. Your needs depend on age, size, activity and health. Change the target to the number you have been given.
Can I use it for weight loss?
It can help you notice patterns, but it is not a diet plan. For personal calorie targets or medical advice, speak to a registered dietitian or your GP.
