How it works
Type what you want to convert. Decimals are fine; empty, zero or negative entries are blocked with an inline message.
Choose from 40+ ISO codes, or hit Swap to reverse the pair — the amount stays exactly as you typed it.
The converted figure appears with its currency symbol, and the rate line shows 1 FROM = X TO plus the rate date.
Why people trust this converter
Rates come from ECB reference data through a key-less rates feed, refreshed hourly and cached so the same pair returns instantly.
The amount is multiplied, rounded and formatted on your own device. No accounts, no history, no tracking of what you convert.
If the live feed stalls, you get the last cached rate clearly labelled with its date. If nothing is cached, you get an error — never a guessed rate.
Frequently asked questions
Where do the exchange rates come from?
They are ECB reference rates relayed by a key-less exchange-rate feed. The rate line always shows the date the reference rate was published, so you can judge how fresh it is.
Is this the same rate my bank will give me?
No. Reference rates are mid-market rates; banks, card networks and money-transfer services add their own margin. Treat the figure as a reliable estimate, not a quote.
How often do the rates update?
The rate table is refreshed from the provider at most once an hour and reused for every conversion in between, which keeps repeat lookups instant and the free feed within its limits.
What happens if the rate feed is down?
You keep converting with the last cached table and a notice tells you that live rates are temporarily unavailable, along with the cached rate date. If there is no cached table at all, the tool shows an error instead of a number.
Do you store my amount or currency pair?
No. There is no account, no database and no conversion history. Only the public rate table is cached on the server for an hour.
How large an amount can I convert?
Any positive amount up to a billion or more. Very large results are rounded to two decimals with thousands separators and flagged as an approximation.
