What is HEIC? HEIC (HEIF) is Apple's default photo format since iOS 11. It produces smaller files than JPG with the same quality, but is not widely supported on Windows and older devices.
Why a browser tool? HEIC files often contain personal photos. This tool processes them entirely on your computer — nothing is uploaded, no account is created, no logs are kept.
Browser support Safari decodes HEIC natively. Other browsers use the bundled WebAssembly decoder.
