How the guides and articles on FreeOnline.fyi are produced, reviewed and corrected.
Authorship and review
Articles on FreeOnline.fyi are written by the FreeOnline.fyi editorial team — the same team that builds and maintains the tools the articles describe. Drafts are prepared with AI assistance and then reviewed by a team member before publication. The reviewer checks the article against the tool's actual behavior: every step, example and number derived from a tool must match what the tool really does.
Sourcing policy
When an article makes a factual claim that does not come from the tool's own logic, it cites its source. We cite well-known official sources — government sites, standards bodies, major encyclopedias — and list them in the References section of each article. We do not publish invented statistics, studies or quotes, and we do not link to unverified pages.
AI disclosure
We use AI models to help draft and structure our guides. AI output is never published unreviewed: a team member verifies accuracy, tone and usefulness, and corrects or rewrites content where needed. Time-sensitive statements are written with an explicit date (for example, "as of 2026") rather than vague wording.
Corrections
Errors happen; when we find one, we fix the article and update the "Updated" date shown on the page. If you spot a mistake in a guide or a tool, tell us — correction requests from readers are reviewed with priority.
Independence
We publish balanced recommendations and state limitations honestly. We do not accept payment for recommendations inside guides, and external references are chosen for usefulness, never sponsorship.
