How it works
Three steps, no spreadsheet formulas to debug.
Homework, quizzes, tests, participation — up to 12 categories, each with points earned and points possible.
Type the weight each category carries. Not at 100%? Auto-normalize handles it, or hit Normalize to 100 to rewrite the rows.
The weighted percentage, letter grade, per-category contribution and the highlighted scale band are all live.
Built for the last five minutes before grades are due
Weighted categories for a syllabus, or set one category at 100% to grade a single assignment out of points.
Switch between 90/80/70/60, 93/90/87 style bands, or type your own A–D cut points.
Add up to 20 points to every score, then round the final percentage to a whole number, 1 or 2 decimals.
A category with 0 points possible is flagged and skipped — never a NaN grade.
Scores stay in your browser tab. No account, no upload, no student data leaving the device.
The grade stays pinned to the bottom of the screen while you edit rows in the hallway.
FAQ
How is the weighted grade calculated?
Each category average (points earned ÷ points possible) is multiplied by its weight, the results are added up, and the total is divided by the weight total — or by 100 if you turned auto-normalize off and used the weights exactly as entered.
What if my weights don't add up to 100%?
You get a visible badge instead of a silent wrong answer. Turn on auto-normalize to scale the weights proportionally, or press Normalize to 100 to rewrite the weight cells to whole-ish numbers that add to 100.
What about a category with 0 points possible?
It is flagged in amber and left out of the math, so the grade never turns into NaN. Fix the points possible or remove the row.
Does the curve change the letter grade?
Yes. The curve is added to the final weighted percentage before rounding, and the letter band is read from the rounded result shown on screen.
Is it free, and are my scores stored?
Free, no sign-up, no limits. Everything is computed in your browser — scores are never sent to a server and are gone when you close the tab.
