Type an amount, pick two currencies, and read the converted total together with the exact date the reference rate was published โ€” so you always know how fresh the number is.

Convert an amount

30+ major currencies
Numbers only, greater than 0, up to 1 trillion. Commas, spaces and currency symbols are ignored โ€” 1,250.50 and 1.250,50 both work.

How it works

1 ยท Enter the amount

Type a number โ€” commas, spaces and currency symbols are stripped for you. The conversion updates as you type.

2 ยท Pick both currencies

Choose from 30+ major ISO codes or hit the โ‡„ button to swap them. Changing a currency fetches the rate for that pair.

3 ยท Read the number and its date

The converted total is the hero; the unit rate and the rate's publication date sit right underneath it.

Rates, coverage and limits

What this converter does

It multiplies your amount by the latest available daily rate for the selected pair and formats the result with the target currency's own symbol and precision โ€” so JPY shows no decimals and euros show two.

Where the rates come from

Rates come from the exchangerate.host reference feed, fetched through our server once per currency pair per day and reused for every visitor. Each result states the date the rate was published.

Supported currencies

32 major fiat currencies (USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, CNY, AUD, CAD, CHF, AED, SAR, INR, BRL and more). Cryptocurrencies and precious metals are deliberately not supported.

FAQ

Is this the rate my bank will give me?

No. This is the mid-market reference rate; banks, card networks and transfer services add a margin on top. Treat the number as a fair-value estimate, not a quoted price.

Why does the rate date sometimes show yesterday?

Reference rates are published on business days, so weekends and public holidays reuse the previous working day's rate. The page always shows the date actually returned by the feed rather than pretending it is today's.

Does typing a new amount cost a network request?

No. The rate is fetched only when you change a currency or press Refresh rate; every recalculation after that happens instantly in your browser.

What happens if the rate service is down?

You keep the last rate the page fetched and it is labelled as cached with its own date, so a conversion is never presented as fresher than it is. No amount or history is ever stored on our side.
